Bulgarian Benchmark: Large-Scale Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Solution

As manufacturing and industrial parks continue to expand production, the electricity load of large commercial and industrial users is constantly growing. Traditional power distribution systems face challenges such as insufficient transformer capacity, high demand charges, and lengthy grid expansion cycles.

At the same time, enterprises hope to reduce energy costs through energy storage systems, but conventional energy storage solutions are limited in capacity and lack scalability, making it difficult to meet the continuously growing energy demands of industrial scenarios.

For large-scale commercial and industrial applications, YUNT offers integrated energy storage system solutions. Centered on a modular PCS architecture and an intelligent energy management system, these solutions enable flexible configuration, stable operation, and future scalability of energy storage systems, helping customers improve energy efficiency and reduce electricity costs.

Bulgarian Benchmark: Large-Scale Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage

Core Scenario Requirements

Large industrial and commercial users typically face the following challenges:

Peak loads lead to continuously rising demand charges;

Limited distribution capacity, with high expansion costs and lengthy implementation cycles;

Significant fluctuations in production loads, requiring high power supply stability;

Energy storage systems must have strong scalability to accommodate future production capacity growth.

The project must ensure production continuity while implementing peak shaving and valley filling to reduce distribution pressure, and reserve sufficient capacity for future expansion.

Core Integration Solution

Based on the project’s actual load requirements, YUNT provides a large-scale 1,000 kW/2,312 kWh commercial and industrial energy storage system solution.

The project employs a modular parallel architecture consisting of eight 125 kW PCS units, configured with a battery storage system and an EMS energy management platform to enable unified scheduling and coordinated control of the energy storage system.

The EMS optimizes charging and discharging operations in real time based on the enterprise’s load curve and electricity consumption strategy:

Charging the energy storage system during off-peak hours;

Discharges the energy storage during peak demand periods to reduce demand load;

When load conditions change rapidly, multiple PCS units respond in coordination to enhance system operational stability;

The system’s modular design allows for flexible expansion to meet the enterprise’s future production growth needs without requiring major modifications to the existing system.

The complete solution meets European grid connection requirements and is suitable for long-term, stable operation in industrial parks.

Value of Project Implementation

After the project went into operation, it effectively alleviated the enterprise’s peak electricity demand pressure, reduced demand-based electricity charges, and improved the utilization efficiency of the energy storage system, providing the enterprise with a more flexible and efficient energy management approach.

Leveraging its modular design and system integration capabilities, the solution can continuously expand capacity in line with the client’s business growth, balancing current investment returns with future development needs. It provides a mature and reliable practical case study for large-scale industrial and commercial energy storage applications and further validates YUNT’s technical capabilities in the field of large-capacity energy storage system integration.
